Welcome to Irish Horsemanship 2010

Irish Horsemanship was founded in 2003 to establish a community of people in Ireland who would like to learn more about training horses of all types, ages and disciplines. We now offer clinics and get-togethers in Ireland with leading national and international trainers, and maintain a register of approved horse trainers based around the country who are available for private lessons and horse training help. We also hold monthly fundays in Limerick which are open to all and are a great way to meet people. We are also currently expanding our web section, with the addition of a new members social community area and an elearning website with over 80 detailed lessons for all levels, with an extensive beginners section with online video tutorials. We also have our members forum where you can discuss all aspects of horse training.

Above is a stunning painting created by one of our Mayo members, MJ, of the fair in Ballinasloe. It is based on a photograph by John Heney. Like MJ, we use a lot of creativity and inspiration in our horsemanship. Come to a clinic or funday and see for yourself!

New funday format for 2010

We have taken all of your feedback into account and as requested, our fundays will now be even more fun! :) We have changed the structure a tiny bit, so from January they will stay informal and fun, you’ll watch some great horse training, pick up new ideas and meet other like-minded people, but now you will also have dedicated questions & answers session, more discussions on how you are getting on with your own horses, more hands on work and we’ll cover more topics in our new group challenges! Spectator cost €30 per person, including lunch. More info on the funday page. Our next funday is on 14 March 2010 in Limerick.
