Irish technology startup wins second prize in International ‘Best Ever App’ awards.

Irish technology startup Grey Horse Apps has won second prize for the ‘Best Doing Good’ App in the 2011 ‘Best Ever App’ awards. The ‘Save a horse’ app, was produced to support the work of the ‘Irish Horse Welfare Trust’. Over 7240 apps were nominated for the 2011 Best Ever App Awards and over 1.5 million votes were cast globally. Elaine Heney, producer with GreyHorseApps.com was delighted with the result.

Irish tech startup GreyHorseApps.com and Silversand Horsemanship Australia have just launched the first in a series of innovate educational iPhone apps for horse riders and trainers. ‘Silversand Foundation Skills 1’ contains, superb educational content, an interactive quiz, interactive maps and over one hour of video content from Steve Halfpenny, one of the world’s leading horse trainers. The apps are suitable for all levels of horse riders.
