The idea is if you are interested in learning how to train horses, you are very welcome to come along for the day, share your knowledge, meet other horsey folk, and watch some horse training. Some of the horses who have come to the open days over the last few months have literally turned into inside out and their owners have done phenomenal work with them. We try to mix both fun & education together!
We cover quite a lot……. from 2010 we will follow a slightly updated format which as well as watching a horse being trained, the usual great company and delicious food, there will also be new question and answer sessions, those bringing a horse will have a one hour individual lesson, there will be discussions of people’s current issues, group presentations & demos on various topics and more hands on time.
Bring a notepad, warm coat, waterproofs, warm fleece, hat, umbrella, etc. No dogs sorry. If you’d like to bring a bottle of wine, please feel free! The day runs from 11am till 5pm.

Directions and map to Coonagh Equestrian Centre
Take the Ennis Road out of Limerick. (Do not take the usual road to Adare)
At the N7 / N18 “Coonagh roundabout” (Tesco’s is there and a travellodge) take the exit signposted Coonagh.
700 yards up that road there is a signpost for maple leaf stables.
The yard is on the left, in what appears to be a private dwelling entrance.
Follow the INHS funday signs.
